FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Does the ticket count include adults, or is it just for the number of students?
A: All audience members must have a ticket, so please remember to include in your number any chaperones, teachers, drivers, etc.

Q. I didn’t realize I had more students than I originally reserved for. Is it too late to add tickets to our reservation?
A: It’s never too late to try! PAYS will always make every effort to accommodate as many students as possible for each school, though we might not be able to guarantee the same seating.

Q: How is the seating arrangement determined?
A: Seating is determined by the size of your group and any special needs, such as wheelchair accessibility. PAYS maintains records of its seating charts and rotates schools with each performance so no one school is given consistent preference of seating.

Q: What age group is PAYS appropriate for?
A: PAYS performances are specially designed to be presented to grades K-8. Specific age groups for individual performances can be found on the individual show pages.

Q: How do we arrange transportation?
A: Public schools in the San Mateo/Foster City School District submit transportation requests through the Dept. of Transportation. PAYS will also submit our list of schools attending each performance so the department knows to expect your request. Non-SM/FC schools and private schools have the option of chartering private buses or carpooling.

Q: Will my reservation be confirmed for the time slot I requested?
A: Not always. Because they usually follow a shortened (half-day) schedule, kindergartners are always given priority for 9:30 performances. After all kindergartners are scheduled, PAYS makes every effort to accommodate the first-choice requests of each school. If we cannot book you into the time slot you requested, we will let you know.

Q: This sounds like a great program for my student – how can I get more teachers involved?
A: Become a PAYS Representative! PAYS Reps organize and coordinate PAYS events for their school, making it easier on teachers who might not have the time to do so. For more information, give us a call at 650-342-3933.
